Lambert Morocco ↔ GPS converter.
Turn the Lambert coordinates on a plan (X, Y) into a GPS position, or the reverse, to find a plot of land on a map or prepare a site visit. The calculation runs in your browser: no data is sent.
Lambert coordinates in metres. Latitude and longitude in decimal degrees (34.0343) or in degrees-minutes-seconds (34°02'03.7" N). In Morocco, longitude is negative (west).

Accuracy
A tool for locating, not an instrument for boundary marking.
The transformation between the Moroccan system (Clarke 1880 ellipsoid, Merchich datum) and GPS (WGS 84) uses the official parameters published in the international EPSG registry, with a stated accuracy of about 7 metres. The Lambert projection itself is computed exactly.
That is enough to locate a plot of land, prepare a site visit or check that a plan is consistent. It is not enough to set out a building, find a boundary marker or settle a boundary question: these operations require a survey tied to the geodetic points, carried out by a surveying engineer.
- Zone I — North Morocco (EPSG:26191): north of roughly the 31.5° N parallel
- Zone II — South Morocco (EPSG:26192): between 27.9° and 31.5° N
- Zone III — North Sahara (EPSG:26194): between 24.3° and 27.9° N
- Zone IV — South Sahara (EPSG:26195): south of 24.3° N
Frequently asked questions
Understanding Lambert coordinates.
Where can I find the Lambert coordinates of my land?
On the plan attached to your land title or technical file: the corners of the plot (boundary markers) are usually listed there with their X and Y coordinates. A recent topographic plan tied to the official system also shows them.
Why does my point land a few metres from where I expected?
The transformation to GPS has an accuracy of about 7 metres, and a phone's GPS adds its own error, often several metres. For an exact position, you need a precision GNSS receiver and a connection to the geodetic points.
Which zone should I choose?
The one shown on your plan. Otherwise, the zone depends on latitude: zone I for the north of the country (including Fez, Meknes, Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Oujda), zone II for the south down to about 27.9° N, then zones III and IV for the Southern provinces. In GPS → Lambert mode, the tool chooses it automatically.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. All calculations are done in your browser; no coordinates are transmitted to the firm or to any third party.
Need accuracy?
An exact survey of your land.
To set out, mark boundaries or check limits, we measure with GNSS and total station, tied to the official geodetic network.
